Hand Drawn Wedding invitations

The bride and the groom came up with the idea of the elephants symbolizing two of them. The groom wearing fabric with the pattern from the famous Norwegian sweater “Marius Genser” and the bride a more indian inspired pattern.

The invitation card was first finished with digital letters and lines designed around the drawing. Looking at the “finished” product I realized that the sharp, clean and crisp digital letters did not give the look that I desired. It stood in great contrast to the drawing. I decided therefore to copy all the elements by hand, scan it and then replace the digital lines and letters. This gave a more harmonic consistent design.
